I have to lose weight and maintain body fat?
My recruiter said I should stay at 32% body fat, but lose weight. I must get down to 170lb. I am now at 201lb. I leave for basic training in a few weeks. Any suggestions?
Well there are ways to lose that much weight, you have to lose about 30 pounds to get your goal weight, but its not healthy. And since you are leaving for basic training in a few weeks, you won't be able to do it in such a short amount of time. So, just exercise and watch what you eat. More fruits and vegetables and such, and don't eat past like 7 or 8 o clock. Your metabolism slows down and you store more around those times.
Also drink plenty of water, with all the exercise, you will need to stay hydrated. But if you get hungry after meals, like you want a snack or such, try brushing your teeth or using mouth wash. You won't have the food taste in your mouth so you won't get the feeling you are hungry. Also try using smaller plates. Like kid size plates instead of the dinner plates that come in the plate sets. The smaller the plate, the smaller the portions, and it has the appearance of looking like a lot of food because there is no space between the food.
Those are some tips. But relax after you go through basic you will be at the weight you need to be at.
